So, I sent in the paperwork for both attempts and got the information back on the first one pretty quickly
"Claim ID: 192898
Membership Number: 115789
Dear Mr LeCouteur,
Thank you for your enquiry regarding your intention to attempt the record for 'Most people fire breathing'.
The current record is:
The most people fire breathing simultaneously was 82 at the Ocean of Fire II during the Burning Man 06 festival in Black Rock City, Nevada, United States, on 31 August 2006."
Any one else catch that? The Dutch record is not official.... at least not as of last week. This means 2 things. 1) We may only need to break our own record, and 2) we will almost certainly be in the next printing.

Wed, June 27, 2007 - 11:28 AMOh, and here's the rules
MOST PEOPLE FIRE BREATHING SIMULTANEOUSLY
The following act as a guide to the specific considerations and undertakings, in addition to the
general requirements as detailed in the General Rules of the Record Breakers’ Pack, for any
potential attempt on the above record.
They should be read and understood by all concerned – organisers, participants and witnesses
– prior to the event.
Please note that, as detailed in the Agreement Regarding Record Attempts, these guidelines in
no way provide any kind of safety advice or can be construed as providing any comfort that the
record is free from risk.
GUIDELINES
This record is for the most people to fire breath at exactly the same time. There are two
categories:
1. One event held simultaneously at different venues set up by the same
organisation
2. One event held simultaneously at a single venue
3. WARNING: This is an extremely dangerous activity. Only those experienced in
fire breathing should attempt this record.
4. It is recommended that fully qualified medical personnel should be present
throughout.
5. Only attempts using special fire breathing fluid (available from magic shops) or
paraffin (UK)/kerosene (US), will be entertained.
6. The ignition source should be a flaming rag on the end of a stick or a flaming
fire juggling club, held by the person attempting the record.
7. The stick/club should be held at arms length, above the breathers mouth, so
that they blow up to it.
8. At a countdown, the challengers must blow the flames at exactly the same time.
9. Attendance numbers are confirmed either by:-
10. Individuals signing their own names once only in front of two independent
witnesses. No ‘ditto’ marks accepted. The list of signatures must be submitted
to Guinness World Records.
11. Individuals are counted whilst entering a cordoned off area. Anyone who leaves
before the attempt starts via a single exit gate, are deducted from the entrance
figure.
12. Every participant does NOT have to sign the full agreement. This is only for the
organizers.
13. It is the total number of people attending that constitutes the record.
14. Sufficient witnesses should be involved to ratify that all the contestants fully
participate in the attempt - witnesses should be placed in such a way that every
part of the record attempt area is visible to the officials.
15. A start signal (loud enough for all the contestants to hear) is advisable.
16. The name of the company, organisation or person(s) organising the attempt
should be given, along with the date, place and title of the music danced to.
17. If you are attempting a multi-venue mass participation record, the following
rules also apply:-
18. How many venues are used and where they are in the world must be submitted
with the documentation.
19. If there are to be venues around the world participating, then the event must be
synchronised so that it occurs simultaneously in all locations. The local time at
each venue must be included in the documentation.
20. There is no upper limit on the number of venues, but there should be a
minimum of ten.
21. The same format should be followed at each location. -

Weirder
Thu, June 28, 2007 - 11:00 AM"Thank you for your enquiry regarding your intention to attempt the record for ‘Most fire breathers passing single ignition flame.'. Your proposal is not of interest to us as a new category. However, we have searched our Record Database and think that the following record may be of interest to you instead: ’Largest fire breathing and eating display’.
The current record is:
A total of 171 members of the Chilli Club International (Australia), performed <em>Fire Storm Crossing Australi'</em> at the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympics, Australia on 15 September 2000."
I think, technically, burn night is the largest fire arts display, however, Crimson's not into it. This one could most easily be crushed....

sorry, but i just saw this and thought how funny it would be to have someone dressed up as the Swedish chef (from the Muppet Show) breathing fire... it's not Dutch, but that ain't sayin' much!
I can't wait to be part of this shebang!
